Sand Blasting
The harsh salt environment in Florida wreaks havoc on corrosive metals. Protecting these metals can become a challenge. Simple hand tool preparation and recoating is usually not enough. Power tool cleaning with Surface Tolerant Epoxy coatings as primers are usually the first and most common approach. However, long term protection requires more preparation, especially when corrosion has already taken place. Sandblasting suitable surfaces to near white or white metal is key when coupled with the proper primer, mid coat and finish coat.
