Waterproofing & Sealant Work

Waterproofing is a broad category that includes the entire building envelope and can include parking structures. Glendale performs all types of waterproofing work, exclusive of, or in addition to standard painting. We have applied millions of square feet of elastomeric paint and countless lineal footage of high performance caulking/sealants. Recently, manufacturer's have developed hybrid elastomeric coatings that provide enhanced permeability and Glendale has the experience to know which system is best suited for your building.

With brick, stone or colored block substrates, clear water repellants (e.g. silane, siloxane, silicone etc.) can provide a significant degreee of waterproofing. However, in many cases, the mortar joints should be inspected for deterioration and if needed, we can "tuck point" morar joints (combined with water repellant application) to prevent water infiltration.

Other types of "waterproofing" involve below grade damproofing that typically involves sheet membranes or high-solids bituminous coatings.

Below grade sheet membrane or just waterproofing your planters. Glendale has done it;

“We have been doing business with Glendale Painting for more than 12 years. During that time they have successfully installed our waterproofing, caulking/sealant, clear water repellants, sheet waterproofing and other construction materials.  Their Quality of application is excellent, we are proud to recommend them and be a part of their restoration team.”
